Services   Air Quality Permitting and Modeling
Air Quality Impact Assessment * Climate Change Analysis * Health Risk Assessment

Air quality assessments for industrial and land use development require an understanding of the emission sources, viable control strategies, and the science and art of realistically modeling impacts. Innovative mitigation is also necessary to protect the environment and ensure regulatory compliance. Aspen personnel have decades of combined experience providing air quality and related services for a wide range of projects types including electricity generation, transmission lines, pipelines, rapid transit, and airports, for a variety of government and industrial clients.

Services and Capabilities
  • Emission inventories for criteria pollutants, greenhouse gases, and air toxics for stationary, mobile, and area sources.
  • Comprehensive permitting, auditing, and compliance planning for New Source Review, PSD, Title V, and TAC programs and for compliance with the CEQA and NEPA processes.
  • Characterization of baseline ambient air quality, climatology, and meteorology.
  • Dispersion modeling and impact analysis employing state-of-the-art, agency-approved models.
  • Emission inventory estimating models include: URBEMIS, EMFAC2007, OFFROAD, and MOBILE6.
  • Air quality dispersion models include: AERMOD, ISCST3, SCREEN3, CALINE4, CAL3QHC, EDMS, and OCD.
  • Water vapor plume dispersion models include: SACTI and CSVP.
  • Impact mitigation, including development of control strategies, technology evaluation, and emissions offset analysis.
  • Economic analysis of cost-effectiveness, health benefits and regional economic impacts.
