- Senior CEQA/NEPA Project Manager:
Aspen is seeking a senior professional to manage environmental
impact analyses and environmental planning projects. The position
requires a bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering,
planning, or a related field (master's degree preferred) and
at least ten years of experience conducting impact analysis
pursuant to CEQA and NEPA, including management of EIRs and
EISs. The responsibilities of the position include:
- Coordination of multi-disciplinary teams in the preparation
of CEQA and NEPA documents and providing support in environmental
planning and permitting, primarily for public works and infrastructure
projects;
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients
and public agencies;
- Oversight of the preparation of technical analyses for
environmental documents, including assurance of product quality;
- Supervision of staff and subcontractors;
- Developing and managing project budgets and schedules;
- Participation in business development activities and management
of proposal preparation efforts; and
- Contract negotiations, task order preparation, and contract
compliance.
The successful candidate must be
an effective project manager and client liaison, have excellent
writing and communication skills, and possess the ability to
lead multi-disciplinary teams.

- Associate Historical Archaeologist
Aspen Environmental Group (Sacramento Office) seeks an experienced Associate Historical Archaeologist
for its growing cultural resources section. Aspen's multidisciplinary staff provides environmental compliance, impact assessment,
and mitigation services for a wide spectrum of energy and infrastructure projects (www.aspeneg.com ).
This is a temporary, full-time position for up to 6-9 months, with potential for a permanent, full-time
appointment. Pay commensurate with experience. Should the successful applicant be selected for a permanent position, Aspen offers a
competitive and comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: authoring EIS/EIR sections and compliance documents such as treatment plans
and programmatic agreements; technical review of compliance documents; assisting with the preparation of multidisciplinary proposals;
and training staff in cultural resource task completion and reviewing work of other team members.
Minimum requirements include: M.A. or M.S. in Anthropology, Archaeology, or other closely related field;
excellent writing skills; at least 10 years of experience including field and laboratory settings; experience in California cultural
resources management; project management experience; a strong working knowledge of the federal and state cultural resources regulatory
settings; ability to function effectively in a team environment, but also to work independently; ability to communicate effectively in
writing and through oral presentations; and an ability to meet U.S. Secretary of the Interior standards for historical archaeology and
qualify as a Registered Professional Archaeologist. Familiarity with 19th and 20th century historical resources and experience and/or
training in GIS a plus.

- Senior Air Quality Engineer
Aspen Environmental Group is seeking
an experienced senior air quality engineer to assist in the
preparation of environmental impact analyses and environmental
planning projects primarily for energy and infrastructure projects.
Experience with the energy sector and power generation is a
must. Responsibilities will include: emission quantification/verification,
modeling, emission offset verification, impact assessment, permit
coordination, and preparation of testimony. This position requires
a bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering (preferably chemical,
environmental, or mechanical) or environmental science, and
8-12 years of related experience. The qualified candidate must
have excellent analytical skills along with above average writing
and verbal communication skills, be proficient with Microsoft
Office, and possess the ability to work with multi-disciplinary
teams.

The position at Aspen Environmental Group requires a bachelor's
degree (Master's degree preferred) and 8 or more years of experience
with California ecosystems. This is a senior position that would
involve expert technical consultant services to clients, interaction
with resource agencies, guidance to junior employees, personnel
management and development, and assistance to the company's
business development efforts. Preferred experience includes
assessment of biological impacts under CEQA and NEPA, preparation
of Biological Assessments, formulation of habitat restoration
plans, design of biological resource mitigation programs, and
supervision of botanical/wildlife/wetland studies and surveys.
The ability to manage CEQA/NEPA projects is an advantage. Knowledge
of natural resource management, conservation biology, and permitting
under endangered species and natural resource protection regulations
is also desirable. The successful candidate must be an effective
project manager and client liaison, have excellent writing and
communication skills, and possess the ability to work well with
other professionals on multi-disciplinary teams.
- Environmental Planner/Scientist
Aspen Environmental Group is seeking a mid-level professional
to assist in the preparation of environmental impact analyses
and environmental planning projects primarily for public works
and infrastructure projects. Responsibilities will include research
and preparation of CEQA, NEPA, and other planning documents;
assisting project managers with project support activities,
including public participation, document production, and coordination
of subcontractors; and participation in business development
activities. This position requires a bachelor's degree in environmental
science, engineering, planning, or a related field (Master's
degree preferred), working knowledge of CEQA and NEPA, and 2
- 5 years of related experience. Must have excellent writing
and verbal communication skills, be proficient with Microsoft
Office, and possess the ability work with multi-disciplinary
teams.
