Project Type: Energy
PG&E Northeast San Jose Transmission Reinforcement Project
Aspen evaluated potential impacts associated with the construction and
operation of a new substation, modifications to an existing substation,
7.3 miles of new 230 kV transmission line, new 115 kV connections, and
distribution line upgrades. Aspen provided detailed analyses for five
alternative routes for the 230 kV transmission line, two alternative
substation sites, and two alternatives to the 115 kV upgrade, as well
as the No Project Alternative. The CPUC certified the EIR in May 2001.
Construction began in May 2002 and was completed in September 2003.
Aspen provided mitigation monitoring.
