SDG&E Miguel-Mission 230 kV #2 Project EIR
Aspen prepared an EIR for a proposed 230 kV circuit within an existing
transmission line right of way (ROW) between Miguel (near Chula Vista)
and Mission substations (Mission Valley) in San Diego County. The
project included installing a new 230 kV circuit on existing towers
along the 35-mile long ROW, as well as relocating 69 kV and 138 kV circuits
on 80 new steel pole structures. In addition, Miguel Substation and
Mission Substation was modified to accommodate the new 230 kV transmission
circuit. The Draft EIR was issued on April 1, 2004, and the public comment
period ended on May 17, 2004. The Final EIR was released in June 2004 and
construction is complete.
